  1. Hi my name is Kari Karnatz and I am in Erica's morning Business Communcations class on Monday and Wednesday mornings. I am currently enrolled in the Medical Assistant program pursuing my Associate's degree in Applied Science. I am in my 5th quarter at Globe and was one of the orginal 125 students that started on July 1st, 2008. I currently work at McDonald's on Gateway Dr. in Eau Claire as a crew trainer. McDonald's is the first job I got at the age of 15, and have worked there since which has been 5 years and a few months. I am looking forward to graduating as a Medical Assistant and getting my dream job in the healthcare setting. I have two cats, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor cat's name is Pita. The outdoor cat is named Pete who I rescued over break. They both have very unique and distinct personalities that they call their own.

  2. Hello everyone! My name is Michele Thibedeau and I am half-way through the Certified Medical Assistant program with hopes of being employed in the medical field in one year. I am currently working part-time as a bartender in the small town where my children and I reside. One of my stronger attributes I feel blessed to have is my optimistic attitude. I feel everyone has ups and downs in life that need to be addressed, but continuing to learn and grow throughout life is very important. I enrolled in college at the age of 39 after losing my husband to heart disease and having to raise our 5 children on my own. My goal is to succeed in the medical field and be a role model for my family.

  3. Hello, my name is Ashlee Skrede, I am in the Healthcare Management program going for my bachelors degree. Currently, I am working at Sacred Heart Hospital on the ortho/surgical floor as a patient care assistant. I also bartend part time at a small bar and restaurant. I have been in college for four years now, and have changed my majors 3 times. I am very excited that I have finally figured out what I want to do and have started working towards that. Right now, I have two dogs, a yellow lab and a chocolate lab that take up pretty much all of my time outside of school and work, which is not very much time. My goal is to get my degree, find a job that I enjoy and continue learning throughout my life.

  8. Greetings! My name is Audrey Williams and I am in the Tuesday evening class. I start my day at 5am so by 9:10pm and an hour drive home I was pretty beat. I am looking forward to having some fun in this class so I'm sure I'll stay awake.
I became widowed at age 53 so decided to do something different. I moved to WI and am working as a admitting supervisor in a hospital. I decided I'd like to finish my degree which I started many years ago because both my grown children have theirs. I am having fun, but it is a lot of work! I have a dog and two cats which keep me company. I worked for a major manufacturing company in St. Paul for 26 years in management and decided to retire from that life and move over here to slow down a bit. I am not sure when the slowing down part comes...

I'm in the business administration program here at Globe and this is my first quarter attending. 24. Hi my name is Shari Martinez and I am currently working at Xcel Energy as a customer service representative. This is my third quarter at Globe University and I am in the Legal Administrative Assistant program. Once that is finished, I'll move on to the Paralegal Program. When I began school here, it was first time I had been in school in ten years, so I thought I better start slow. My plans are to work in a lawyer's office so that I can have a good, stable career and not have to break my back to make a decent wage. I used to think that I didn't need to continue my education, that I could do without it and still live well. I've been in work force and worked a variety of really bad jobs, and realized that there is something better out there for me.

  28. Hello,

My profile is a little late getting in but I started taking online classes and decided that didn't work for me. I am going for my associates degree in Medical Administratvie Assistant. If things go well I may continue on and get my bachelors degree in Healthcare Management. I have loved my first week of classes. (Except for all the homework I have to catch up on). Everyone is so nice and friendly. So different from other schools I have gone to. I live in Strum, WI. I have lots of animals. I would like more but my husbanf won't let me. I have been married for almost a year. I have two sons who are in the military. I am very proud of them. When I'm not working or have homework I enjoy going to our trailer on Lake Holcombe. It is beautiful up there. I enjoy anything to do on the water. Have a great weekend. Rose H.
